Chipotle is A+mazing. Always satisfying and super duper delicious. Always!
And we LOVE that Chipotle restaurants make a point of buying local fresh produce. Big thumbs up for that factor!
However. If you are not careful, you can easily pack well over 1,000 calories into a meal.
Now keep in mind we are not big into calorie counting. We believe when you eat whole healthy foods (mostly plants!) in abundance, you don’t need to count calories. But sometimes, the numbers help prove a point and make you say OH MY!

Tortilla – 300 calories
Chips – 570 calories
Cheese – 100 calories
Sour Cream – 115 calories
Chicken – 180 calories
If you don’t know how to use a calculator, that adds up to 1,265 calories. Not including rice, beans, salsa, etc.
This is how we make our Chipotle bowls healthier while still satisfying and super super delicious!
Chipotle Bowl Option 1: brown rice, black beans, guacamole, and two scoops of fresh salsa.
Total damage is only 540 calories whoop whoop!
Chipotle Bowl Option 2: brown rice, half black/half pinto beans, fajita veggies, lots of salsa, romaine lettuce and a scoop of guacamole. Total damage is only 605 calories!
