In my first test, I used a carrot to see how easy it was to cut into pieces.  I have to say that it was amazingly easy and quick to cut the carrot into pieces.  The best part of the cutter is how easy it is to size your carrot pieces when cutting them.  I was able to safely cut through the full carrot in just a few seconds.

Clever Cutter Tips

Make sure you use a small bowl for the vegetable pieces to drop into as your cutting them.  I originally used a flat cutting board, but I noticed the carrot pieces had a tendency to shoot out of the cutter.  By having a bowl below you, your vegetable pieces will nicely accumulate underneath the cutter in the bowl.

Also make sure you cut with a slow, deliberate motion.  If you cut too fast, your vegetable pieces are more likely to fly off in different directions on your kitchen counter.  When cutting smaller pieces of food, use a tong to keep the food steady and away from your fingers.

Clever Cutter Cleaning and Maintenance

The Clever Cutter is dishwasher safe.  Just close the safety lock and drop the Clever Cutter into the tray next to your silverware.    Even though the Clever Cutter is dishwasher safe, I prefer to wash it by hand.  Washing the clever cutter by hand preserves the blade longer than using the dishwasher.  Always make sure you store the Clever Cutter in drawer with the safety latch securely locked.
