Peanut Butter and Jelly Breakfast Bagel
We need to discuss both the simplicity and complexity of this Simple PB&J Breakfast Bagel.
But first. Have you guys ever read the book Hippopposites? It is a childrenβs opposites book like no other. My aunt got it for Andrew last Christmas and we LOVE it. Β Except for this one page. I mean who honestly knows what opaque means? Just for your information β it is the opposite of transparent.Β Still confused? Yeah us too. We usually just skip that page of the book and move onβ¦ Parenting 101.
So today. We are going to talk about easier opposite words like simple and complex. Letβs start this partay off with the simple stuff. Simplicity. Or in other words, sit back, relax, and kick up your feet. But you probably guessed that by the whole SIMPLE breakfast bagel thing right? That is probably why you were intrigued about this recipe in the first place. Your eyeballs saw >>Simple Breakfast<< and your brain said sign me upΒ yesterday.
Well ok then. We are good on this whole simple thing right? You get it. 5 minutes. 4 ingredients. No mixing. No measuring. No baking. Simplicity.
Now for the complexity part. Donβt be afraid. The only thing complex about this is the amazingly balanced mixture of sweet and creamy. To be honest, I am not normally one to mix food flavors. Give me a plate big enough to keep the chicken from touching my rice and veggies please and thank you. It is kind of childish-ish but it is what it is. So this whole idea of peanut butter plus jelly plus egg inside of one singular bagel. It kind of sort of totally sent me into panic mode, but I promised Joan one bite. Just ONE little teeny tiny bite.
And thus begun the wild food ride that is now breakfast on a pretty much every single day of my life basis. As for you. Well you could continue eating bagels with peanut butter and jelly. Or egg. Or plain (<why would anyone eat a plain bagel?). But then your life would be a little less awesome. Your choice. Just ONE little teeny tiny bite!
