All farmers markets should be loaded up with goodies exactly just like this one. This one was perfection. Melons. Peaches. Berries. Apples. Corn. Potatoes. Onions. Peppers. Tomatoes. Zucchini. You name it. They had it. And it looked dang good!
Everything was fresh and bright and made us want to go home and cook up a storm. Heck yeah!
AND GET THIS. Everything at this farmers market was locally grown without any pesticides. Jackpot baby! We went a little crazy but it was so worth it.
We bought a watermelon, cantaloupe, peaches, blueberries, raspberries, sweet onions, red potatoes and a couple of zucchinis, all for less than 22 dollars. Not bad for having 3 grocery bags full of fresh colorful produce!
The two ladies working this particular day were so sweet and friendly. They still use an old fashion scale to weigh the groceries and they were wearing bright colorful handmade aprons. Talk about adorable!
They were so excited to tell us all about how the farm grows the fruits and vegetables and how the mild weather in Ohio affected everything this summer. We seriously could have stayed and chatted all day but we obviously had some major cooking to go take care of.
We are excited for all of the upcoming recipes we made with our fresh finds at this perfect little farmers market! If you are ever in Northwest Ohio, be sure to check it out! =)
