Ok friends. We need to talk about this Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread pizza. Like whoa! My family was literally fighting over the last piece at dinner last night. I mean, not like real fighting, just family fighting….although it did get a little intense there for a while! You know how that goes. Everyone wanted the same thing and no one was backing down! I have never seen them get so worked up over a simple meal.

So seriously though, I have never seen my family go so crazy over homemade pizza. They were making bets, making bribes, and making mad dashes to the kitchen for that last piece. They were obsessed! It was if I had put gold on the pizza instead of cheese! I mean, I knew the pizza was good but I was shocked by how much everyone loved it (okay, to be honest, I was a little amazed by how delicious this pizza was too….I also wanted that last slice!).
I just sat back and laughed to myself because the truth is, this recipe is so quick and easy I would have gladly made them another pizza if they would have just asked. It only takes a few minutes but everyone thought that this pizza was some time-consuming masterpiece!
While making pizza at home is definitely different than ordering one from a restaurant, it is different in a very good way. It can be hard to get a nice soft, chewy pizza crust when making homemade pizza (unless you are lucky enough to have a pizza oven or wood stove to cook on!). That is why whenever I make homemade pizza I always do a thin crust version like this. Not only is it easier but it is also one of the best ways to make pizza quickly in a regular household oven. Trust me, I have tried many different ways and this style of homemade pizza is the clear winner!
Best Ingredients for Homemade Pizza
Of course, I wouldn’t just make my family ANY pizza. There are plenty of pizza recipes that do take hours to make. Yet this recipe is just so simple and one of the reasons why is because it’s made with Hormel Foods Bacon Toppings. If you have never tried it, you need to- so yummy! Yummy and easy.
The bacon toppings are always on my grocery list as the perfect way to enhance meals, snacks, and salads with the delicious flavor of 100% real bacon. Since it’s already cooked and crumbled, there is none of the work or mess that is associated with making bacon from scratch- it doesn’t get any better than that!
Keeping these on hand has helped so much with meal prep and time-saving, especially when it comes to making this pizza (although I also sprinkle this stuff on everything…salad, in sauces, on top of eggs, on a sliced avocado…everything). The price is also a bonus since these bacon crumbles are super affordable and when it comes to “extra” ingredients (you know, those ones you may be able to get away with skipping but really add extra needed flavor), I definitely do not want to be spending a fortune.
All you need to do is peel open the bag, sprinkle the toppings out, and seal up the bag again. Done! You may not even need that last step where you reseal the bag because you may eat them all once you see how tasty they are…
Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza
Okay so you got your bacon crumbles, now let’s get back on track talking about this PIZZA! The super simple recipe is posted below, but please feel free to switch things up a bit to suite your preferences.
Add some extra cheese or a drizzle of ranch over the top. A few sliced jalapenos would also be amazing but you choose! That’s what is great about making your own pizza, you completely get to customized it and then eat exactly what you want. You can also plan a party around this pizza. Have your guests add heir own extra toppings and they they will have exactly what they desire. This pizza is easy and everyone is guaranteed to be happy eating it. Talk about a perfect party food!
The only thing you must not change is the bacon toppings. I am telling you here and now (and forevermore) that the bacon really tops this recipe off! TOPS it off. (Did you catch what I did there?) And anyway, the bacon part is sooooooo easy when you just grab a bag of Hormel crumbles, you have no reason to skip it!
Homemade Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread Pizza Recipe
Time to dive into the real recipe. Basically, all you need to do is brush a slice of flatbread with a little bit of olive oil. Toast it in the oven for a few minutes so you have nice crispy crust. Like it super crunchy? Keep it in the oven a little longer. Want a softer crust? No problem, just bake for a little less time!
Carefully remove from oven and add your toppings. Follow the recipe to the T or switch it up if you have some creative ideas. If you are up for a fun taste experiment, you could even try mixing a little bit of marinara in with the ranch dressing (oooo fancy!).
Anyways, the important thing is loading up the pizza with those Hormel bacon pieces. Place the pizza back in the oven for a few more minutes to get everything nice and melted…all those flavors mixing together…yum! Serve the pizza while hot as it is best when straight out of the oven. If you do happen to have leftovers, which won’t happen very often, you can wrap them up and keep them in the fridge until the next day when you are craving this pizza again.
Last but not least, don’t let your family know how EASY it is to make this pizza or they might ask for it every night. But if they do, that means you also get to eat this pizza every night so I guess, everyone wins! Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread Pizza
- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Cook Time: 10 mins
- Total Time: 15 mins
- Yield: makes 1
Not only is this pizza insanely easy to make but the amount of bacon and ranch flavor that is packed on top is something dreams are made of.
- 1 Flatbread
- 1 cup leftover grilled chicken (shredded works too!)
- ¼ cup Hormel bacon pieces
- ¼ cup ranch dressing
- ½ cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Preheat oven to 400(f) degrees. Brush olive oil evenly over Flatbread and bake for 4-5 minutes or just enough to crisp the crust.
- Carefully remove from oven. Spread ranch dressing over crust then add the chicken and cheese.
- Crumble bacon on top then place back in oven and bake for an additional 4-5 minutes.
- Carefully remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- If you don’t have flatbread, look for pre baked pizza crusts or frozen pizza crusts instead
- A sprinkle of sirracha sauce will take this pizza to the next level
- Shredded rotisserie chicken works fantastically
- A combination of Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella works great
- Add some blue cheese crumbles to the pizza for an extra treat

I use a tray or cookie sheet. You can use the oven racks but just be careful that you don’t burn or overcook them. Let us know how it turns out!
